Please make sure you have checked this information before you apply on-line:
- Check the available Fields of study. The information on the website summarizes the available study possibilities at each host University. In some cases you can find the specific website addresses to find more detailed information about the study programs.
- Select your level of education or staff mobility.
- Find out what Target group you belong to.
- Read carefully the admission conditions for the course you have chosen.
- Check the language and academic requirements for your level and field of study at the selected university.
- For detailed information on the requirements for studies at the selected university please visit their website. If necessary, use the links to directly contact your selected University for more information about their study offers and research opportunities.
Be aware that the available scholarships may not cover the whole mobility period you are choosing and in no case you will be eligible for a scholarship longer than your mobility.
Before applying please check carefully the available scholarships and their duration in relation to your nationality and target group. For example, at the Undergraduate level, 10 month scholarships are available for Target group 1 applicants and 34 months scholarships are only available for Target Group 3 applicants.
If the University that you choose offers openings on a given course for both mobility and full degree, you will be considered for the option closer in duration to the scholarships available for your Target Group.
Please note that the option of mobility or full degree may not be available at all universities. Consider carefully your study program and be sure to describe in your motivation letter the duration of mobility you are interested in.
You can submit up to 3 applications to different universities. You cannot benefit from more than one scholarship within th India4EU project.
Exchange students: before applying check your home University's internal rules.
Approval for mobility by your home University, through the Forwarding Letter
(25.43 kB), is required for applying. Please refer to your University's Local Coordinator for information.
Exchange students need the approval for mobility by both their home and host university. Selected candidates will have to develop a Learning Agreement
(63.53 kB) to be signed both their home and host Universities.
After reviewing all the important information, you can follow the link on the Application page to fill in the online application form. The online form must be completed in the English language.
While filling in your application, you will be requested to provide the following information and upload some compulsory documents:
- Personal data: all Personal Data fields are compulsory. You should provide us with your valid e-mail address because all the communication between you and us will be realised by mail.
- Target group and study level
- Academic data: all data concerning your level of education (and diploma) are obligatory. The following data will be requested: Institution Name, Location, Start Date, End Date, Name of Programme/Degree and Average mark. At the moment that mobility starts, you should possess the diploma requested for the type of mobility you have been selected for.
- Host institution and course: please be aware that you should only apply for a study field equivalent to your current or previous study program and of which you master the language.
- Language competences: you should prove your knowledge of the language in which the courses are held. Please check the specific requirements of the university you are applying to.
Your application form will only be valid if all the compulsory documents have been attached. All attached documents should be in English or an official English translation must be provided. Please note that all certificates/degrees have to be certified by stamps of the university.
The following are the minimum compulsory documents to be uploaded with the application. Academic and Language certifications must comply to what required for the specific course or program:

- Passport or National Identity Card

- Motivation letter (maximum one page): why are you applying for this EMECW Programme, your particular skills and abilities, your academic interests and your work experience (if relevant), your commitment to return to your home institution / country, how this period abroad will benefit you and your direct socio-economical environment, preferred start date and duration of mobility you are interested in.

Undergraduate
|
- Academic Certification: Secondary school Diploma and any additional Academic Certification required for the specific course at the university they are applying for (please see Fields of Study). Only for Target Group 1 students: Transcript of records of 1 year of University studies (including average mark).

|
Master
|
- Academic Certification: Undergraduate Degree Certificate or Transcript of records of 3 years of University studies (including average mark) and any additional Academic Certification required for the specific course at the university they are applying for (please see Fields of Study).
|
|
Doctorate
|
- Academic Certification: Undergraduate and Master Degree Certificates, Transcript of records of University studies (if applicable) and any additional Academic Certification required for the specific course at the university they are applying for (please see Fields of Study).
- Project proposal outlining the research activities that you intend to carry out at the host University.
|
|
Post-Doctorate
|
- Academic Certification: Doctorate Degree Certificate and any additional Academic Certification required for the specific course at the university they are applying for (please see Fields of Study).
- Project proposal outlining the research activities that you intend to carry out at the host University .

|
Academic Staff
|
- Pre-acceptance letter from the host university stating that they are willing to host you, it should include the program of lectures to be delivered by the visiting teacher, the research activities or type of training to be carried out.

|
Target Group 1
|
- Proof of registration (certificate of home university stating that you are currently enrolled/working in/associated to the university).
- Forwarding letter
(25.43 kB)signed and stamped by home University’s Local Coordinator; please, check the name of the Local Coordinator with the Contact Person of your home university(see“Partners” page).

|
Target Group 2
|
- Letter of recommendation (a letter from a contact at a Partner University will represent a preferential condition)

|
Target Group 3
|
- Proof of special conditions (official document certifying your special conditions)

IMPORTANT:
- All documents must be uploaded in the pdf or jpg format.
- You must also attach any additional Certification required for your specific course at the university you are applying for (please see Fields of Study).
- In case you do not hold at the moment the required Certification because you are still attending the course or carrying out the related academic activity, you have to submit a Statement of Commitment
(24.09 kB) declaring your current situation and your commitment to obtain the necessary certification by the time the mobility starts.
After you have been selected, your host university may ask you to send them one original hard copy of the application including all the attachments. Additional documents may be requested by the individual Host Universities at this point. If asked to, you must also present the originals for verification at the host university.

If you are experiencing problems with the application form and are using Internet Explorer, please try a different browser like Firefox or Opera. Both these browsers are free of charge and contain more functionality than Internet Explorer.
