Energy from the Sun: 40 Years of Photovoltaic Technology History

Renewable sources are the engine of the energy transition: in 2023, they reached 43.8% of electricity production in Italy. Photovoltaics is one of the flagship technologies; in the last forty years, it has made huge strides. The exhibition tells the story of how the performance of photovoltaic modules has changed and how they will be used in the future for the decarbonization of the Polytechnic University of Turin.

Two guided tour dates are scheduled, on May 22nd and May 29th, further divided into two time slots each, at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. To participate in the guided tours, it is necessary to book through the form available at this link.

A project by DENERG - Energy Department "Galileo Ferraris" of the Polytechnic University of Turin, curated by Filippo Spertino, Alberto Poggio, Alessandro Ciocia, Giulio Cerino Abdin, under the scientific supervision of Giovanni Vincenzo Fracastoro.

The exhibition is organized within the Sustainable Development Festival promoted by ASviS - the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development, with the patronage of RUS - the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development
